Automated Meter Installation to Resume This Fall
Automated Meter Installation to Resume This Fall
The URNRD's meter automation project that will allow farmers to see their water usage and remaining allocation in real time is set to resume this fall. URNRD technicians plan to install at least 420 digital meter heads and antennaes on existing flow meters over the fall, winter and early spring. Thus far, about 1,300 of the district's 3,300 meters have been converted. The $2.3 million project will be 90% funded by state and federal grants secured by the URNRD.
